With rapid expansion globally, we now have an exciting opportunity for a FINANCE MANAGER to join our team in Singapore.

Role overview

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for all financial affairs for Asia & HQ. You will cover 6 countries and 15 legal entities and manage a team consisting of a few staff and various free-lancers and external support. This is a role for a candidate with both solid accounting skills as well as financial management aspirations.

Job Description

The core component of the role is the full finance function of all entities in Asia. This includes accounting, budgeting reporting, banking, and tax.

You will manage a team of internal and external support to execute all tasks and ensure timely delivery, whilst performing the more advanced scope such as budgeting, consolidation, and reporting.

Secondly, you will be responsible for all administrative aspects in Asia, independently running or overseeing day-to-day tasks and proactively approaching new tasks or issues. This includes tax compliance, operations with banks or investors, insurance, and payroll.

Finally, the candidate will be responsible for setting the group’s governance, processes & controls, implementing an organised month/year-end routine and setting robust, efficient internal processes.

Duties

  1. Responsible for all financial affairs in Asia (including holding company)
  2. Manage internal and external accountants for all bookkeeping including AP/AR, banking, accounting in our ERP system, backup documentation, month-end closing
  3. Accounting tasks including consolidation of the accounts at multiple levels, year-end journals, foreign exchange, depreciation, reconciliations.
  4. Collaborate with local partners for tax (CIT, VAT/GST) and financial filing in all countries
  5. Lead monthly cost and budget discussions with business units, prepare annual budget
  6. Reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) to all stakeholders
  7. Project manager for statutory audit, including preparation of group accounts
  8. Product Owner/administrator of our ERP system
  9. Manage controls and processes on investments, procurement, finance; improve & digitise existing controls
  10. General finance management or administrative tasks as required

Depending on performance and progress on tasks, the role can grow into a regional controller/regional CFO role.

Profile

  1. Education in accounting or finance with 2 – 7 years of working experience
  2. Experience with working in ERP system (Dynamics, business central, netsuite, SAP, …) or advanced cloud accounting
  3. Understanding of international transactions including intra-group and currencies
  4. Experience in corporate governance such as process management and controls
  5. Rich in initiative, executing and implementing new ideas
  6. Solid collaboration skills across cultures, teams
  7. Good written and spoken English
