The Role

We are looking for a Finance Manager. You will play a pivotal role in preparing and interpreting financial statements and management reports, administering accounting policies and procedures, and assisting in budgetary control and all contractual matters in different areas. If you are an organized and detail-oriented individual, we want you to be part of our growing team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure monthly financial statements/ financial reports are prepared timely and in accordance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and corporate guidelines.
  • Responsible for timely submission of management reports to respective stakeholders.
  • Assist in monthly forecasting and prepare performance/financial analysis.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Review and ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliation schedules are done timely and long outstanding items are cleared promptly.
  • Monitor daily cash position and prepare monthly cash flow projection. Deposit at bank may be required.
  • Assist in refund check and approval.
  • Review open PO list for month-end closing and work with respective parties to close off expired PO.
  • Upload operational contracts and ensure contract records are updated timely and maintained at Contract & Licence Management System.
  • Prepare GST reconciliation on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist in/In charge of quarterly Operating Equipment count and reporting.
  • Responsible for the full spectrum of fixed asset management for the hotel and assist in ensuring the Fixed Asset Registers are updated.
  • Review and/or check capex and assets disposal.
  • Assist in the preparation of Annual Budgeting.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board Meetings’ presentation and materials.
  • Assist in handling Internal Audit and External Audit on all matters.
  • Review and prepare business surveys required by the authorities and the management.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in accounting procedures and internal control.
  • Assist in ensuring Internal Control Policies and Procedures are effectively executed and complied with by all departments.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide training/coaching to Finance team and operational teams if necessary.
  • Perform any task assigned by Senior Finance Manager / Asst. Director of Finance / Director of Finance.

Talent Profile

  • Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, reporting standards, and regulations.
  • Proficient in software applications which include Microsoft Words, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Opera and Infrasys will be an added advantage.
  • A team player with strong leadership skills.
  • Possess excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced environment.
