Job description

PAHT is a dynamic and growing privately-owned asset management firm. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to establish and lead our finance function.

Reporting directly to the principal of the firm, the Finance Manager will be the cornerstone of our finance function, responsible for all finance-related activities within the firm. As the sole finance professional, you will oversee the financial health of the company, ensuring compliance, managing budgets, and providing strategic financial insights. This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities ranging from high-level financial planning to day-to-day operational tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop budget planning and forecasting and analyze financial performance of the firm.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and/or review financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity, develop and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Perform and/or oversee tax planning and compliance, optimize firm’s tax position while complying with tax regulations.
  • Manage daily financial operations including AP, AR, expense management and financial transactions.
  • Implement financial controls and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Set up and continually enhance financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience 7-10 years in a finance role, preferably within the asset management or hedge fund.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP).
  • Possess analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
