Finance Manager

Our client is a Single-Family Office based in Singapore, managing and supporting operations across various locations including Singapore, Indonesia, and the United States. They are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with the Managing Director and be part of a small yet dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will have the chance to compile investment reports, liaise with tax service providers, and manage ad-hoc projects as necessary.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities within the organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include compiling detailed investment reports, supporting investments by understanding financial products, preparing management accounts and financial statements, liaising with tax service providers, and executing trades with private bankers. Additionally, you will also be responsible for handling ad-hoc project management tasks as required.

• Compile investment reports/presentations on existing and prospective investments including valuation and investment performance
• Support the investments, with a strong focus on understanding financial products (mainly listed equities, listed equity options and OTC structured products)
• Prepare Management Accounts and Financial Statements of the Company on a yearly basis, or when necessary, to comply with local statutory reporting requirements
• Liaise with tax service providers to comply with the relevant statutory tax in the necessary jurisdiction (mainly Singapore and United States)
• Liaise with the private bankers/retail banker for relevant investment and trade execution (mainly Singapore and United States)
• Manage ad-hoc project management tasks as necessary

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings along a minimum of three years' experience in the finance or investment sector. You should have experience dealing with US market stock trading and option equity trading. A focus on asset and wealth management would be beneficial. Your strong analytical skills coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs will enable you to excel in this role. An understanding of financial markets/trends is essential along with an interest in private markets. Clear commercial acumen complemented by excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational abilities are key to succeed in this role.

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the finance or investment sector
• Experience in dealing with US market stock trading and option equity trading
• Focus in the asset and wealth management industry would be advantageous
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Word
• Understanding financial markets/trends and interest in private markets is essential
• Clear commercial acumen with full fluency in English - strong communication, teamwork and organisational ability
