Finance Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various finance-related tasks, gaining valuable hands-on experience in financial reporting, analysis, and daily finance operations. This internship will provide exposure to real-world financial practices and the opportunity to contribute to the finance department's success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monthly and Yearly Financial Reporting:
   Assist in handling and finalizing monthly and yearly closing of management reports.
   Prepare financial analysis and reports to provide insights to management.
2. Consolidation Reports:
   Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidation reports.
   Assist in the preparation of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
   Analyze variances against budget/forecast and quarterly results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
3. General Ledger Management:
   Manage general ledger (GL) activities, including monthly and year-end processes.
   Ensure accurate posting of financial transactions.
4. Journal Entries:
   Post monthly recurring entries, year-end revaluations, accruals, and other necessary adjustments.
5. Reconciliation Activities:
   Review and ensure the accuracy of account reconciliations.
   Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner to maintain financial integrity.
6. Daily Finance Operations:
   Oversee daily finance operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and fixed assets management.
   Review and assess the appropriate accounting treatment for AP transactions, including vendor invoices, credit notes, and payments.
7. Financial Guidance and Support:
   Provide guidance and support to colleagues on accounting procedures and business operations.
   Assist in implementing continuous improvement practices to enhance financial processes.
8. Liaison with Business Units:
   Collaborate with various business units to gather relevant information for financial reporting.
   Utilize data to produce accurate and timely financial reports.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 3-6 Months Contract
