Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, including managing the full set of accounts.
Min. 2 years of experience with Xero Accounting Software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
Experience with HR functions or supervising HR staff is a plus.
Job Scope:
Accounting & Financial Management
Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow statements.
Maintain accurate and timely records for monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, filing requirements and financial reporting standards.
Handle fixed assets management and depreciation schedules.
Develop and maintain effective internal financial controls.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Oversee the accounts receivable process, including generating invoices, tracking payments and reconciling AR accounts.
Follow up with country partners and schools on overdue payments and manage payment discrepancies.
Generate AR aging reports and provide insights to management.
Work with country partners and schools as well as internal teams to resolve invoicing or payment-related issues promptly.
HR Oversight
Supervise and guide a junior HR staff member in daily HR operations.
Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing in coordination with HR staff.
Manage HR in recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and employee records management.
Administer employee benefits, such as medical insurance, leave, and other entitlements.
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals.
System Proficiency
Leverage Xero Accounting software for bookkeeping, reporting and financial management.
Ensure smooth integration and operation of financial data within Xero.
Provide recommendations for improving workflow efficiency using Xero and other tools.
Collaboration & Reporting
Prepare financial and HR reports for senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Collaborate with management to align financial and HR strategies with business goals.
Support audits and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
