A team lead responsible for the Grant Claims Management functions in a Finance Shared Services environment supporting healthcare organisations:
Supervise and lead a team of staff in the section in handling day-to-day grant-related financial matters, month-end and year-end accounts closing, including the preparation and/or review of the monthly, quarterly and year-end audit schedules
Responsible for the good quality of the grant-related balance sheet accounts
Review grant documents and apply the appropriate accounting treatment for grant project accounts
Review grant variation documents and update relevant project account details
Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims and prompt disbursements
Ensure no outstanding items in project accounts and deactivate project account promptly upon expiry
Review grant-related billings and statement of accounts
Review incoming grant funds and resolve unreconciled sums
Investigate and resolve user queries
Responsible for grant-related GST, corporate tax and other statistical submissions
Liaise with internal and external auditors on grant-related audit matters
Lead and participate in process improvement projects
Ad-hoc assignments
Job Requirements:
At least a Degree in Accountancy or ACCA equivalent
At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with 1-year experience in a supervisory position
Higher qualified/experienced candidates will be considered for the Senior Finance Executive/Senior Accountant position
IT savvy - proficient in Microsoft Office such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Hands-on experience with SAP system will be an advantage
Prior audit experience will be an advantage
Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
Able to take pressure and work within tight deadlines
Meticulous, motivated, committed, resourceful and able to work independently
