Finance Director - PERE

Our client is one of the leading real estate investment companies with businesses and investments across APAC and overseas markets. To facilitate the company growth and active projects, they are looking for a Finance Director to lead their finance team in the Singapore office.

Being a senior finance leader, your responsibilities include:

• Leading and growing the finance team, overseeing the spectrum Finance and Accounting functions for the Group including the investments.
• Being a core member of the management team to support the strategic planning for business growth and identifying any potential investments.
• Managing the investment portfolios including different business partnerships, joint ventures and other investments.
• Formulate and Support Business strategic growth across Asia, US and Europe markets.
• Responsible for annual budgeting, financial analysis and forecast; setting the KPIs to improve business performance and efficiency.
• Monitoring the financial and business performance of the investments to enhance the short-term and long-term business strategies.
• Reviewing financial statements for audit reviews and working with external auditors on audit requests, ensuring the compliance of the regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring the financials and projects costing for the investments and entity assets.
• Reviewing and refining the internal controls, processes, procedures and SOPs, and to suggest improvements to enhance or standardize with the Group’s standards.
• Responsible for the treasury function, cash flow management and potential financing for the group and the assets.
• Managing and minimizing any business risks, enhancing internal control framework.
• Incorporating the best practices for ESG, corporate strategies and operational excellence.
• Liaising and working closely with business partners with both internal and external stakeholders across the APAC region.
• Formulating and reviewing new business initiatives to improve the business operation, internal control, processes and procedures (e.g. system implementation and transformation initiatives).
• Supporting ad hoc finance projects.

To qualify, individuals should possess:

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline with audit training in audit firms is a plus.
• Professional qualifications in CPA/ ACCA/ CFA or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years relevant experience with solid team leading experiences.
• Industry background from Real Estate/ PERE/ Institutional or Fund Management Firms are highly preferred.
• Previous experience in commercial and industrial asset classes with exposure in Asia markets plus Global exposure (e.g. Europe) are preferred.
• Excellent commercial sense and strategic business mindset with a passion to drive business growth and continuous improvement.
• Growth mindful and someone who is keen to drive changes.
• Strong business partner with excellent stakeholder management and influential ability.
• Excellent language and communication skills with high competence to work in a multi-cultural and diverse environment.
• Occasional travel is needed for business purposes.
