Key Responsibilities:
As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a financial strategy that balances the demands of a creative, project-driven environment with the rigor and discipline needed for sustainable growth across our international network. This role is critical in supporting the firm's strategic goals and aligning financial management with business objectives.
1. Financial Leadership & Strategy:
Lead the finance function, providing strategic insights that directly impact the company’s operational and growth objectives.
Partner with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies that align with the company’s expansion plans, including potential international ventures and new business models.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring precision and accountability across all departments.
2. Business Partnering & Decision Support:
Collaborate closely with project directors and other department heads, delivering financial data that drives key business decisions on project feasibilities, resource allocation, and profitability metrics.
Be the financial voice in high-stakes project bids, ensuring that risk and reward are properly quantified to maximize returns while protecting the company's financial interests.
3. Financial Operations & Compliance:
Ensure all financial reporting, including month-end and year-end closing, is timely and accurate.
Supervise the accounting team, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, including taxation, audit standards, and financial reporting requirements.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.
4. Cash Flow & Investment Management:
Manage cash flow effectively, ensuring liquidity to support project timelines, new investments, and operational needs.
Lead investment initiatives, including working capital management, CAPEX decisions, and relationships with financial institutions.
5. Digital Transformation & Process Improvement:
Champion the integration of cutting-edge financial technologies, improving efficiency across reporting, invoicing, and financial analysis.
Lead continuous improvement efforts in financial operations, identifying and implementing process optimizations to keep pace with the evolving nature of architectural projects.
6. Team Leadership & Development:
Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team capable of supporting the company’s growth.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development within the finance department.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional qualification (CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally within project-driven industries such as architecture, construction, or real estate development.
Strong business acumen, with a proven ability to partner with senior leadership and influence strategic decision-making.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex financial operations across multiple countries and currencies.
Proficiency in financial software and the ability to drive digital transformation in financial processes.
