Our client a major player in the FMCG distribution sector, is currently seeking a Finance Controller/Director to join their team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for managing all accounting and finance operations across the Southeast Asia (SEA) region. A key aspect of this role will be building strong business relationships with department heads to drive financial success and strategic alignment within the organization. Your responsibilities will include leading financial planning and analysis activities, such as budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, as well as overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional capable of unifying the team and addressing system issues effectively. They will have exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They should excel under pressure and be prepared to tackle operational complexities and challenges as they arise. Additionally, the candidate should be tech-savvy, with strong experience in managing reports and data storage. Preference will be given to those with a background in the distribution business, in line with the client's nature of operations.

Skills and experience required

Candidates should hold a recognized accounting degree, complemented by CA/CPA or an equivalent professional qualification, along with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. Preferably, candidates with backgrounds in product related industries such as FMCG, Medical Devices, Healthcare, or Distribution will be highly advantageous.
