Job description
Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for the company and group.
Provide analytical review on the monthly financial statements for company and group.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal financial policies.
Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
Prepare and monitor financial budget/forecasts, providing detailed explanations for significant variances.
Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
Identify and address any weaknesses in financial processes and risk management.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Evaluate performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial benchmarks.
Develop cash flow forecasts and implement strategies to optimize cash flow.
Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure financing and optimize interest rates.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve financial efficiency.
Review major expenses, capital expenditures, and financial commitments.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects and investments.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the finance department.
Provide training and support to ensure the finance team stays updated with best practices and industry developments.
Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and goals.
Support business expansion and investment decisions with financial analysis and feasibility studies.
Participate in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, providing financial insights and due diligence.
Identify and assess financial risks.
Develop, monitor and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Act as a key financial advisor to the CEO, CFO, and other senior executives.
Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through effective system controls.
Stay updated with technological advancements and recommend upgrades or improvements.
Requirements:
Min Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance will be preferred.
CA/CFA is a must.
Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in the role of a Financial Controller/Manager.
Dedicated individual with good interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with the stakeholders.
Possess the drive and dedication to manage tight project timelines.
Strong technical accounting and analytical skills preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong inter-personal skills, self-motivated, proactive, analytical, meticulous.
