Job Summary

The Finance Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting Farmio’s financial and administrative functions. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities, and will involve the accurate management of financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of various administrative duties. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the financial health and administrative efficiency of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Duties

  1. Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely processing of transactions.
  3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  4. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to financial planning and analysis.
  5. Coordinate and manage tax filings and liaise with external auditors.
  6. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
  7. Support the HR team in processing payroll, employee reimbursements, and maintaining employee records.
  8. Ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day office operations and resolve finance issues as they arise.

Collaboration & Communication

  1. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial and operational workflows.
  2. Maintain strong communication with vendors, clients, and internal teams to manage invoicing and payment schedules.

Qualifications

Education

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  1. 1-3 years of experience in accounting, financial administration, or a similar role.
  2. Experience in the food supply chain, retail, or technology sectors is an advantage but not required.

Skills

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  2. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity.
  5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
