Position Summary:

Field Support to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of engineering experience, with a focus on vacuum pump servicing, PLC systems, and sputtering or etching tools. Experience in the semiconductor, aerospace, or vacuum technology sectors is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Service Support:
   Provide on-site technical support for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
   Address and resolve customer issues promptly to minimize downtime.
   Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
2. Technical Expertise:
   Utilize expertise in vacuum pump servicing and PLC systems to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
   Apply knowledge of sputtering and etching tools, PVD, and other coating machines to support advanced manufacturing processes.
   Continuously update technical skills and knowledge to keep pace with industry advancements.
3. Customer Relations:
   Communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking clients and partners to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
   Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
   Provide detailed reports and documentation of service activities and outcomes.
4. Project Assistance:
   Assist in planning and executing field service projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
   Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges and deliver comprehensive solutions.
   Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
2. 5 years and above of experience in field service, preferably in semiconductor, aerospace, vacuum technology, or related industries machinery, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
3. Proficiency in vacuum pump servicing, PLC systems, and hands-on experience with sputtering or etching tools.
4. At least 3 years of experience with PVD or other coating machines.
5. Japanese language proficiency is required to support our Japanese-speaking clients and partners.
6. Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed to support field service operations and occasional overseas travel is needed.
