Field Service Specialist

Position Description:

1. On-site install, maintain, repair and support equipment on all levels (hardware, software and applications).
2. In-house repair and service, demo instruments QC check on all levels (hardware, software and applications).
3. Maintain and develop positive relationships with customers.
4. Assist in meeting/exceeding sales targets with high service quality in relation to maintaining high customer satisfaction.
5. Utilize relevant databases to input and provide feedback to Service Management, Global Product Support and Sales Management that will increase effectiveness.
6. Utilize all available tools such as Service Manuals, ISI Notes, etc. for daily tasks.
7. Actively promote and sell Field Service products.
8. Able to manage time and resources effectively.
9. Provide cross-border/district/region support when required.
10. Positively represent QIAGEN in front of the customer, being a good example.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ service and support experience in a comparable position within the after sales service business in the medical diagnostic/life science markets, or equivalent experience maintaining instrumentation in the medical diagnostic/life science fields.
2. Minimum diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering preferred.
3. Proven work experience in developing customer relationships.
4. Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
5. Result-oriented with proactive behavior, able to work independently.
6. Valid driver’s license and passport with willingness to travel internationally.
7. Ability to travel up to 20% across SEA.
8. Ability to work both independently and in a structured working environment.
9. Will require work with substances such as acids and solvents and to work in biological laboratories up to BSL3.
