Field Service Engineer (Petrolchemical Plant, up to $5000, 1 year contract)

• 12 months renewable contract
• Salary: up to $5000 with completion bonus
• 5 days work week, 8am to 5pm

Role Summary:

As a Field Engineer, you'll be providing field support to assigned projects. You'll assist in resolving problems and ensure our products help to perform and maintain efficiently during operations. You'll also be required to collaborate with other functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction is fulfilled accordingly.

Responsibilities:

1. Meet all company service reporting requirements to customers.
2. Conduct field evaluations of new products and equipment, install test systems, record data, and train customer personnel in the use of the products.
3. Provide on-site field service and assistance towards troubleshooting and value-added services.
4. Provide technical support to customers; identify and resolve customer challenges, escalating as required.
5. Work with applied services to design, construct, and install new chemical feed equipment for use at customer sites.
6. Coordinate the installation of new equipment with outside contractors when required.
7. Establish maintenance schedules and repair procedures, communicating this information to customers and sales/service personnel.
8. Troubleshoot and repair equipment used in the application of various products at customer plants.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry or equivalent.
2. Extensive 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Chemicals or Refinery Operations.
3. Good product line knowledge in addition to meeting the competency requirements for Downstream Chemicals.
4. Thorough understanding of production, onshore processes, and production chemical applications.
5. Ability to work and communicate well with people, especially within the customer’s community.
6. Good computer skills and experience with MS Office applications.
7. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in an onshore environment.
