Field Service Engineer - Marine

Basic Functions

We are looking for Marine Field Service Engineers for commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of marine generators. Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience with assembly and repair of marine generators, and/or be familiar with marine electronics and automation systems.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Standby support and 24/7 emergency call for customer support.
2. Providing after-sales technical support, site recovery, and maintenance responsibilities to distributors/end customers.
3. Provide installation, commissioning, and on-site training to support the customers according to the scope of the project.
4. Generate a service report to customers in a systematic manner.
5. Investigate and handle all customers’ complaints related to product failures.
6. Investigate root causes of failures and recommend solutions.
7. Review and assist in determining the extent of damage and repairs of warranty claims from distributors.
8. Maintain close working relationships with our key customers to ensure follow-through until the issue is resolved.
9. Develop service training material and ensure all technical and training documents are up-to-date and organized.
10. Provide specific training to distributors and dealers for service and troubleshooting skillsets, ensuring optimum service level at all distributors.

Qualifications / Requirements

1. Diploma/degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
2. This position requires a fair amount of traveling in the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia Region.
3. A team player with strong problem-solving skills and task-oriented.
4. Possess strong customer service orientation, enthusiasm for power generation products, electrical, and control systems.
5. Candidates with equivalent professional background will be considered.
6. Prior electrical and control experience with various control systems (John Deere ECU and KDI ECU) and synchronization systems will be advantageous.
