Job description

The Opportunity:

Adecco is partnering with a leading provider of advanced electronic solutions specializing in FPGA technologies, embedded systems, and high-performance computing solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join their dynamic team! The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting customers throughout the entire FPGA design lifecycle—from consultation and integration to post-sales support—while collaborating with internal engineering teams to develop cutting-edge solutions.

The Job:

Customer Support & Consultation:

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support for FPGA design and integration.
  • Analyze customer requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to develop customized FPGA solutions.
  • Assist customers in FPGA-based system design, helping select appropriate devices and tools.
  • Offer on-site and remote technical support, including troubleshooting and debugging FPGA designs.

Design & Development:

  • Support customers in implementing FPGA designs, writing and optimizing VHDL/Verilog code, integrating IP cores, and embedding FPGA solutions into larger systems.
  • Guide customers on FPGA toolchains such as Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus.
  • Develop reference designs and demo applications to showcase FPGA capabilities.

Training & Documentation:

  • Conduct technical seminars, workshops, and training sessions on FPGA technologies, design flows, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, application notes, and whitepapers to assist customers with FPGA integration.

Product Feedback & Market Insights:

  • Collect and relay customer feedback to product and engineering teams to enhance FPGA offerings.
  • Assist in developing new features and products based on market trends and customer needs.
  • Stay current on FPGA technologies, EDA tools, and industry best practices.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support during the sales cycle, including product demos and presentations.
  • Partner with R&D teams to improve FPGA product offerings and develop new solutions.

The Talent:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in FPGA design and implementation with expertise in VHDL or Verilog.
  • Strong experience with FPGA development tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus).
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, processors, and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, PCIe, Ethernet).
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing or technical support role is advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of FPGA architecture, high-speed interfaces, and signal integrity.
  • Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customers.
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) or machine learning (ML) acceleration using FPGA.
  • Experience in embedded software development (C/C++/Linux).
  • Knowledge of industry applications such as automotive ADAS, 5G, or industrial automation.

Next Steps:

  • Prepare your updated resume (please include your current salary package with a full breakdown such as base, incentives, annual wage supplement, etc.) and your expected package.
