Field Application Engineer

Position Summary

As a Field Application Engineer (GPU Server), you will be tasked with assisting customers in resolving pre and post-sales technical issues including product usage and hardware and/or software related topics. You will also be expected to provide customer feedback to Product Management, Marketing and R&D Teams to enhance future product development and promotion strategies. A problem-solving mindset coupled with on-site customer support abilities and good technical presentation/communication skills will enable you to be successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales team to identify and understand customers’ requirements and provide technical advice, proposals and solution architecture recommendations that meet their needs.
• Work with customers to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with R&D to identify root causes of reported technical issues and provide technical presentation/explanation to customers for reported technical issues with follow-up on progress of implemented resolution.
• Conduct on-site visits to customers’ facilities to assess operations, facilitate solution integration, and resolve issues effectively.
• Provide technical product training to the sales team, channel partners, system integrators, OEMs, and end users.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support other business events when necessary.
• Conduct research and analyse market trends in field application to provide recommendations on new application products.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or related field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering etc.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Server PC and/or GPU technology, x86 Server Platform/System architecture and applications.
• In-depth knowledge of the server hardware ecosystem at the node, rack, and data centre levels.
• Expertise in GPU performance optimization and benchmarking across various applications.
• Proficient with Nvidia CUDA/NVQual and related frameworks.
• Strong expertise in Linux and Windows-based server operating systems.
• Extensive experience with server software ecosystems, including OS/Hypervisors, virtualization, compilers, libraries, debugging tools, development tools, software applications, and validation workloads.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, with the ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks.
• Regular travel is required for on-site customer support.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; fluency in Chinese is a plus for effective interaction with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Candidates must meet legal requirements to work in Singapore without sponsorship.
