Farm Supervisor

Overview

As an Farm Supervisor, you will ensure the maintenance and upkeep of infrastructure and equipment in a clean and air-conditioned environment. You will lead a team of other Farm Technicians to ensure the operationality of an advance, high-tech farming set-up.

This is a permanent night shift role.

Job Description

• Lead and coordinate work activities within the team
• Schedule work shifts of Farm Technicians
• Procure materials, tools and other equipment needed for Farm Operations
• Perform stocktaking and management of assets and consumables
• Conduct training for Farm Technicians in accordance to standard operating procedures
• Oversee performance targets for Farm Technicians
• Inspect site facilities, irrigation systems and other equipment to ensure they meet client requirements
• Report progress and results with internal stakeholders
• Communicate actively on operational challenges met during work activities
• Assist in conducting planting and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in any related field
• 2 or more years experience with leading small,diverse teams
• Passion for indoor agriculture, agricultural technologies or plant science
• Lead by example and be responsible for your actions
• Ability to focus on delivering value to customers
• Ability to keep calm and be courageous in the face of adversity
• Ability to move fast even if you break something
• Fit to conduct work activities involving pulling, carrying and lifting up to 10KG
• Fit to work at height using ladders and ramps
• Ability to work well in diverse and cross functional teams
• Must be able to work night shift
