Facilities Manager | North-East, East | up to $5000 #ACG

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join the team, based in the North-East region. This full-time role will play a crucial part in the oversight and day-to-day management of government facilities.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the Facilities Manager in the overall management and maintenance of assigned government facilities
• Ensuring all building services and systems are functioning effectively and efficiently
• Coordinating with contractors and vendors to deliver planned and reactive maintenance
• Monitoring budgets and reporting on expenditures
• Implementing health and safety policies and procedures
• Responding to and resolving tenant queries and concerns in a timely manner
• Conducting regular inspections and providing recommendations for improvements
• Supporting the implementation of sustainability initiatives

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a facilities management or building operations role, preferably within the public sector
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, plant, and equipment operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficient in using computerised maintenance management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work outside standard office hours as required
• Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Building Services Engineering or a related field would be an advantage
