About the Restaurant – Oak & Ember:

Oak & Ember is a cosy smoked meat restaurant specializing in delectable dishes and meat platters such as beef brisket, pork ribs, grilled chicken, pastas and sliders. Nestled in the heart of Loyang, our small establishment boasts a warm and welcoming atmosphere, delivering a unique culinary experience to our patrons. With a team of dedicated chefs and a friendly front-of-house crew, Oak & Ember takes pride in crafting exceptional smoked meat dishes that leave a lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare drinks according to recipe
  2. Greet guests upon their arrival and advise on table QR code ordering
  3. Assist guests with baby chair and/or wheelchair requirements
  4. Take order over the counter and handle payment collection
  5. Upsell additional items to increase revenue and enhance guests’ experience
  6. Serve drink and food orders promptly and accurately
  7. Cleaning and setting tables in preparation for new guests
  8. Set-up and clearing of restaurant before and after service, depending on shift assigned
  9. Prepare and replenish stations before shift starts
  10. Maintenance of restaurant cleanliness and workstations
  11. Perform opening duties and closing duties as per SOP
  12. Attend to guests with their requests promptly and check on guests overall dine-in experience
  13. Assisting with basic food preparation tasks, such as assembling salads or desserts, as needed
  14. Assist guests with enquiries and recommend dishes based on preferences and menu offerings
  15. Ad-hoc duties assigned by manager on duty

Job Requirements:

  1. 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role
  2. Previous experience in similar role preferred but not required
  3. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  5. Basic hygiene and safety consciousness
  6. Possess a positive working attitude
  7. Ability to work in a team
  8. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
