Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items available in the bar.
2. Know all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the bar.
3. Be familiar with every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
4. Understand designated glassware and garnishes for drinks.
5. Know all menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation, and prices.
6. Be aware of daily menu specials and out of stock items.
7. Understand bar layout, table set-ups, and hours of operation.
8. Input items in the Info Genesis system.
9. Be aware of daily arrivals/departures and VIPs.
10. Know in-house group activities, locations, and times.
11. Correctly maintain and use equipment.
12. Adhere to all department policies and service procedures.
13. Attend line-ups with other staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business.
14. Check own grooming and attire standards.
15. Meet with Captains or Manager to review daily specials and out of stock items.
16. Communicate closely with Captains and Service Attendants to ensure quality service is achieved.
17. Assist other bartenders and service attendants whenever possible.
18. Perform work and side duties in accordance with departmental procedures.
19. Maintain storage areas with proper supplies, organization, and cleanliness.
20. Replenish par levels for supplies and equipment and complete requisitions for shortages.
21. Upsell to guests whenever possible.
22. Transport linens to the bar whenever required.
23. Prepare special items for events as requested.
24. Attend meal breaks as assigned.
25. Prepare workstations and pantries, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
26. Ensure that all materials and equipment are ready for service.
27. Participate in all designated meetings and training sessions.
28. Daily check and clean work areas, ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards.
29. Anticipate, acknowledge, and respond promptly to guest requests.
30. Be familiar with all operation services/features and local attractions to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
31. Report guest opportunities to Superiors following instant pacification procedures.
32. Maintain cleanliness and working conditions of departmental equipment, supplies, and work areas.
33. Answer outlet telephone within 3 rings, using correct salutations and etiquette.
34. Ensure all assigned closing duties are completed before signing out.
35. Take part in formal training programs.
36. Provide feedback on any problems to the Superior.
37. Work to create a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and morale.
38. Report work orders for maintenance and repairs to the Manager.
39. Review status of assignments and follow-up actions with Manager on Duty.
40. Successfully complete training/certification processes.
41. Collect and analyze guest preferences and comment cards.

Job Requirements

1. Education & Certification: Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism is an advantage.
2. Experience: Minimum 12 months in bartending experience.
3. Other Prerequisites: Must meet the legal age to handle alcohol for work purposes and be proficient in written and verbal English.
