Job description

The Volunteer Management Executive for Dementia Singapore supports the building of a dementia-inclusive society through volunteerism and volunteer partnerships.

He/she is a sociable professional who is organised yet adaptable at the same time. He/she is responsible for actively recruiting, training and supporting individual volunteers across various age groups, working closely with programme leads to assess needs and define volunteer profiles. He/she conceptualises and executes volunteer engagement activities as well as volunteer appreciation initiatives.

Additionally, the Executive supports the cultivation of strong relationships with corporate volunteers and community partners, strengthening Dementia Singapore’s volunteer ecosystem.

Job Description

  • Respond to enquiries and requests received for volunteering opportunities.

  • Conduct needs assessment for volunteer programmes.

  • Develop volunteer profiles.

  • Recruit, select and train volunteers.

  • Assign volunteers, aligning organisational needs with volunteer interests.

  • Ensure volunteer policies and processes are observed in programmes.

  • Maintain communication and engagement with volunteers through different platforms and activities.

  • Implement volunteer engagement and appreciation initiatives.

  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of volunteer programmes.

  • Maintain an up-to-date volunteer database and record-keeping system.

  • Maintain relationships with corporate partners and community stakeholders for volunteer partnerships.

  • Ensure effective use of the Volunteer Management System in line with established policies and procedures.

  • To carry out any ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as and when assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in volunteer management.

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communications or Social Science.

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and administration skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Resourceful, adaptable and meticulous with attention to details.

  • Passion to serve, with a customer relationship-oriented mindset.

  • A people-person who enjoys building relationships and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
