Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fundraising Strategy & Campaigns:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.

  • Plan and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including individual donations, recurring giving, peer-to-peer campaigns and online fundraising.

  • Identify, secure and manage relationships with major donors to ensure long-term engagement and contributions.

  • Track fundraising progress, measure campaign performance and ensure goals are met.

  • Oversee donor stewardship, ensuring that donors feel appreciated and informed about the impact of their contributions.

2. Corporate Partnerships:

  • Identify and approach potential corporate partners for sponsorships, collaborations and cause-related marketing opportunities.

  • Develop and pitch proposals for corporate sponsorships and in-kind donations that align with the organization’s needs and the partner’s objectives.

  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate partners, ensuring mutual benefit and collaboration.

3. Report Management:

  • Research potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations and private entities.

  • Write and submit compelling impact reports that align with the organization’s programs and initiatives.

  • Ensure timely submission of donor impact reports and other necessary documentation.

4. Event Fundraising Support:

  • Assist in organizing fundraising events, including virtual events, charity dinners, and community engagement activities.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to promote events and attract donors and sponsors.

  • Manage event logistics and follow up with donors post-event.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fundraising (individual giving, corporate sponsorships, major gifts).

  • Strong relationship management and networking skills.

  • Excellent persuasive writing skills for proposals and donor communications.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and donor management systems.

  • A degree or diploma in Marketing, Mass Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong communication and writing skills in English.

  • Skills in event management, design, editing, or photography are a plus.

  • Fluency in Chinese and the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking donors is a plus.

  • A genuine passion for social causes and a strong interest in working within the charity sector.
