The Executive (Security Systems) shall oversee the day-to-day operation of all security-related electronic systems, primarily the integrated security management system and the carpark management system and ensure that the systems are in optimal working condition at all times. The Executive shall also act as primary department liaison for all systems-related requests by user departments.
Job Description:
- Ensure that all Department systems, including carpark and mortuary are operational 24/7. Examine use of technology for business transformation and process re-engineering.
- Primary Subject Matter Expert in the operation and maintenance of all security systems within the Security Control Room including Security Access and Card Management, CCTV Management, Panic Button etc. The Executive must also be familiar with related standards, Code of Practice, industry best practices, prevailing rules and regulations, and also state of the art technology relevant to security systems.
- Conduct primary troubleshooting of faults detected pending arrival of vendor technicians.
- Assist Department Head in developing and implementing the Security Department’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) pertaining to operation of security management systems.
- Assist Department Head to develop and review physical security and incident response plans for various security scenarios stipulated by MOH, utilising security systems.
- Identify and purchase relevant future-proof technologies and equipment to bolster security preparedness.
- Assist Department Head for hospital planning for emergency preparedness, utilising security systems.
- To oversee the management and operations of the car park system within the Tengah Hospital campus.
- Manage database of season parking records.
- Supervision of incident investigation utilising security systems, including securing evidence via CCTV, access door transaction records etc.
- To be responsible for providing refresher training for security control room personnel.
- To ensure that only authorised security personnel have access to operate the security management system.
- To conduct regular operational audit on the daily operations of the security systems.
- Overall supervision and oversight of the operational condition and serviceability of the integrated security management system within the Security Control Room and other designated rooms within the Tengah Hospital campus.
- To assist the Department head to develop annual Security Department budget and workplans related to security management systems, and implement activities as planned.
- To monitor budget utilisation and spending, ensure vendor invoices are paid punctually, track the progress and ensuring meeting of KPIs and SLAs by vendors, all pertaining to security management systems.
- To oversee the planning, development, coordination and execution of security system training for Security Department staff and other department personnel as part of the hospital’s readiness for Security.
Job Requirements:
- A recognised Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Possess security background, preferably having gone through police or military training.
- Having attended/completed the WSQ Diploma in Security Management.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in operating and managing security systems for e.g. CCTV, security and card access, duress button, roving patrol, video analytics etc, preferably in a healthcare facility.
- Possess strong leadership qualities.
- Possess valid Security Officer License from the Police Licensing & Regulatory Department.
This position is under contractual basis, convertible to permanent employment.
