Executive (Green IC research group)

Job Description

The candidate will have a leading technical role in managing the administrative aspects of the research projects, focusing on aspects including:

• Reviewing and monitoring the execution, leading all aspects of the communication with the involved industrial parties.
• Leadership role in ensuring a tightly integrated programme where appropriate research activities are clearly collaborative; monitor, supervise, and manage the various principal investigators and receive reports on their research projects, specifically reviewing the progress of the various research activities for their deliverables along pre-determined timelines and making necessary changes, when appropriate, to achieve the stated goals.
• Assist in procurement and invoice processing.
• Assist PI in manpower management (hiring).
• Organise meetings and preparation of minutes.
• Management of website and wiki of the group.
• Assist the group with video shooting sessions and video editing, social media, and press releases.
• Consortium establishment and management.
• Any other admin related tasks.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor/Master’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or related (e.g., Computer, Communication or Information Engineering) from a reputable university.
• Participation in research programmes and experience with video editing software are highly valued.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are required along with good written and oral communication skills, high tolerance for ambiguity, and ability to work on multiple sub-projects at the same time.
• Ability to work in a team and a positive “can-do” attitude are also highly valued.
• Open to Fixed Term Contract.
