Job description

The Executive for Education & Training will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of education and training programs, ensuring smooth execution from class planning to student engagement and subsidy management. The role involves close collaboration with trainers, students, education partners, and government agencies to uphold high standards of professional learning. The ideal candidate should have experience in education, insurance/finance, and government subsidy management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Course Management & Organization
    1. Plan, schedule, and coordinate training programs and courses.
    2. Ensure smooth execution of classes, including venue arrangements and learning materials preparation.
    3. Maintain an organized record of all training sessions, enrolments, and certifications.
  2. Trainer & Faculty Coordination
    1. Engage and communicate with trainers to confirm class schedules, teaching materials, and expectations.
    2. Support trainers with necessary logistics, resources, and documentation.
    3. Handle trainer contracts, agreements, and payments.
  3. Class Registration & Student Management
    1. Manage the end-to-end registration process, including application reviews, payments, and confirmations.
    2. Handle inquiries from students regarding course details, schedules, and assessments.
    3. Monitor class attendance and coordinate assessments, examinations, and certifications.
    4. Track and follow up on student progression to ensure successful completion of courses.
  4. Liaison with Education Partners
    1. Work closely with educational institutions, accreditation bodies, and industry partners for course endorsements and approvals.
    2. Maintain partnerships and explore new collaborations to expand course offerings.
    3. Coordinate student enrolments and track follow-ups for completion and feedback.
  5. Government Subsidy & Grant Management
    1. Administer claims and processes related to IBF (Institute of Banking & Finance) and SkillsFuture subsidies.
    2. Gather, compile, and submit required documentation for grant approvals and claims.
    3. Ensure compliance with government regulations and funding requirements.
    4. Handle the IBF audit process, ensuring all required documentation and compliance measures are met.
    5. Have knowledge of TPGateway and SkillsFuture credits to facilitate subsidy claims effectively.
  6. Student Support & Communication
    1. Act as the main point of contact for students, addressing inquiries regarding registration, payments, and course details.
    2. Provide timely reminders for upcoming classes, payments, and assessment deadlines.
    3. Manage feedback collection and implement improvements based on student evaluations.
  7. Finance & Administration
    1. Issue invoices and receipts for course payments.
    2. Track and reconcile payments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  8. Event Participation & Administrative Support
    1. Represent the education and training department in company-wide events, workshops, and conferences.
    2. Support the coordination of graduation ceremonies and recognition events for students.
    3. Assist with additional administrative and project-based tasks as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in education management, training coordination, or a similar role.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of IBF, SkillsFuture, TPGateway, and other government funding schemes is a strong advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with trainers, students, and partners.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.
