Job description

THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE/ CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE

You will be part of the team responsible for the development and growth of Defence Collective Singapore’s (DCS) business streams and its affiliated entities such as Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) in alignment with the organisation’s objectives and targets. You will develop effective products bundling, tactical promotions, pricing strategies and business partnerships to promote DCS and enhance the value proposition of its products and programmes. Main area of scope includes membership acquisition and retention, food and beverage management and retail management. This position will report directly to the Manager for Visitor Experience - Business Development.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting the Business Development Manager in delivering revenue and profitability targets, as well as visitorship target in core areas such as membership, retail, food and beverage and DCS range of product offerings;
  • Ongoing development and growth of the overall business through identified segments and channels;
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal business units to create market awareness, develop business opportunities and ensure smooth business operation;
  • Execute tactical promotion plans/campaigns, pricing recommendations, and conduct market research and data analysis to assess the effectiveness of these efforts;
  • Administrative duties such as preparation of business performance reports with recommended forward plans, business flow and its associated operational SOPs, purchasing and reconciliation processes, inventory controls, procurement processes and protocols, invoicing and purchasing of goods as required etc;
  • Responsible for all members’ communications such as feedbacks and enquiries, updating of content for marketing collaterals and edms with Marketing Communications team.
  • Perform any other duties assigned from time to time, including operational support duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Experience in an Attractions, Museum or Family Entertainment Centre will be beneficial.
  • Extremely hands on environments, needs to be proactive as well as pragmatic in decision making;
  • Can-do attitude, strategic thinking, with an eye for new products introduction and forward thinking recommendations;
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and attention to details;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • Able to perform shift work/weekends when required
