About The Job

The successful candidate will support the Alumni Relations Department in fostering goodwill and communication between alumni and the University.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and organise events and activities for alumni to interact with alma mater, fellow alumni and students.
  2. Actively engage alumni through various communication channels (including social and print media). Experience in new media management (e.g. mobile phone app content management, Telegram Group Chat management, Social channels such as Facebook and Instagram, etc.) is a key requirement.
  3. Provide administrative support for the alumni digital card, alumni newsletter; events media postings; and updating of website/portal information to ensure currency of information.
  4. Attend to alumni queries via hotline, walk-ins or email queries.
  5. Work with internal departments to process alumni online services such as certification letters or transcript requests and/or possible collaborations on alumni activities.
  6. Work with merchants to obtain special merchant deals for the alumni digital card.
  7. Work with alumni volunteer groups to ensure that objectives and desired outcomes are met.
  8. Compile events reports and statistics.
  9. Required to work overtime and on weekends, as needed to support alumni events.
  10. Perform related duties as required or deemed appropriate to accomplish the assigned duties and responsibilities of this position.
Job Requirements
  1. Diploma/Degree with a minimum 2 years of working experience in the area of Marketing Communications, Events Management or Alumni Relations.
  2. Proficient in digital media platforms, with an interest in trends in digital space.
  3. Good interpersonal and networking skills.
  4. Outgoing personality.
  5. Creative, resourceful and meticulous.
  6. Independent and takes initiative, possess a high level of discretion and integrity.
  7. Resourceful team player who can work independently.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite will be an added advantage.
