Job Scope:

• External Relations Engagement and Partnership Development
• Promote and elevate awareness
• Spearhead and execute appropriate strategies to advance the external relations agenda
• Cultivate partnerships for a wide spectrum of initiatives for teaching and research.
• Identify new opportunities for partnerships, collaborations and engagements.
• Formulate action plans and establish relations with industry.
• Drive integrated and coordinated external relations programmes and activities across units.
• Support networking at relevant industry/research forums and business meetings.
• Act as the primary administrative contact for external engagements and corporate partners.
• Event Management and Operations
• Develop and implement comprehensive event planning for partner events and collaborative initiatives with industry.
• Lead and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to effectively plan and execute partner events and engagement activities.
• Select suitable event venues and negotiate contracts.
• Coordinate with Events Office for events.
• Manage and host visits by external parties, visitors and guests.
• Manage the external relations budget which includes budget planning and accounts management.
• Develop and manage event budgets.
• Track expenses, reconcile invoices, and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and strategies for events.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and assess the success of each event, prepare relevant reports for management where applicable.
• Streamline work processes and workflows.
• Support to Leadership and Strategy Development
• Lead consultation with the Management, to strategise, strengthen and establish industry partnerships and engagements.
• Support the formulation of the external relations strategies and implementation plans.
• Support management in building relationships with local, regional, and international partners.
