Mission of the Position

The mission for this role is primarily to plan, manage and execute all internal company events resulting in stellar on ground activations that engage our target audience, generating leads and building the brand.

Reporting directly to the Group Marketing Director, the Events Manager will be working closely with the marketing division - translating overarching marketing and company narrative and strategies into world class internal and external roadshows and events. The Events Manager will also be responsible for on-site event management to ensure the best possible experience.

The role requires a highly self-motivated individual who can operate in a fast-paced environment, has strong thought leadership, is a problem solver and believes in always chasing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event strategy and execution - organising and executing impactful sales and marketing events including roadshows and off-site events in grand locations.
  2. Work closely with the marketing team to plan onsite and outreach strategies to value add to marketing campaigns.
  3. Coordinate with local partners and businesses to plan, organise, and lock down off-site event spaces.
  4. Collaborate with internal sales and retail divisions to work on event layout and designs.
  5. Provide financial oversight for event budgets, space rentals and design fabrications.
  6. Organise and introduce inventory tracking processes to all event and roadshow inventory for internal movers and collaborators.
  7. Establish and maintain a robust network of contacts including stakeholders for event spaces, event and roadshow fabrication and inventory procurement services.

Hiring Criteria:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or event management and administration with a minimum of 3 years of experience in event management.
  2. The applicant should demonstrate a proven ability to be creative and think out of the box.
  3. The applicant should have experience managing medium to large scale events.
  4. A strong collaborator who is familiar with marketing strategies and campaigns.
  5. The applicant should possess a track record of being involved or leading events.
  6. A self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  8. Strong attention to detail.
  9. Experience in the education sector is not required. Individuals from highly creative or story-driven industries are welcome.
