Tech in Asia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Events Director to lead the strategic planning, execution, and growth of our portfolio of events across Asia. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue generation, enhancing brand reputation, and ensuring exceptional attendee experiences. The Events Director will manage a high-performing team and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments including marketing, sales, editorial, and product.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy aligned with Tech in Asia's overall business objectives.
• Identify new event opportunities and formats to expand Tech in Asia's reach and revenue streams.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and attendee feedback to inform event planning and improvements.
• Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for events and track performance against targets.
• Oversee the entire event lifecycle, from concept development and budgeting to logistics, marketing, and post-event analysis.
• Manage and mentor a team of event professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Ensure events are executed flawlessly, on time, and within budget.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize event revenue through sponsorships, ticket sales, and other revenue streams.
• Work closely with the sales team to secure sponsorships and build strong relationships with key clients.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for events, including online and offline channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including speakers, sponsors, attendees, and partners.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Monitor event expenses and revenue, and make adjustments as needed to maximize profitability.
  
  

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in event management, with a proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events.
• Experience managing and mentoring a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Deep understanding of event marketing and promotion strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passionate about the Asian tech and startup ecosystem.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, and driven to succeed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities.
• Client-facing experience is a plus.
