Event Streaming Engineer

As an Event Streaming Engineer in the Enabling Platforms division, you will be responsible for the building, improvement, and scaling of our streaming data platform across different clouds. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills, a deep understanding of distributed systems, and the event streaming ecosystem including different messaging systems, protocols, and connectors, as well as excellent communication abilities.

Make an Impact by:

• Designing, implementing, and managing Kafka-based data pipelines and messaging solutions to support critical business operations and enable real-time data processing.
• Configuring, deploying, and maintaining different messaging platforms, ensuring high availability and scalability to maximize uptime and support business growth.
• Having a good understanding of AWS and Azure to build event streaming solutions in the cloud.
• Monitoring Kafka performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted data flow, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Collaborating with development teams to integrate messaging solutions into applications and services.
• Developing and maintaining connectors such as CDC, JDBC, S3, etc., along with topics and schemas, to streamline data ingestion from databases, NoSQL data stores, and cloud storage, enabling faster data insights.
• Having a thorough understanding of Event Driven Architectures and event patterns.
• Understanding one or more messaging platforms (Solace, NATS, Cloud Native Brokers) and messaging protocols.
• Implementing security measures to protect clusters and data streams, safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Automating Event Streaming cluster operations using infrastructure-as-code tools to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
• Staying updated with the latest Event Streaming features, updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve the platform and stay ahead of industry trends.

Skills for Success:

• BE/BTech in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 5-8 Years of working experience
• Technical Skills - Distributed Systems, Kafka, Solace, Connectors, Schema registry, Puppet/Ansible, Confluence, Bitbucket, JIRA, CI/CD
