Reporting to the Director of Business Development (Events), the incumbent shall be responsible:
Work closely with the Director of Business Development (Events) to develop strategies to maximize yield for the Hotel catering business.
Follow up and finalize event details on confirmed MICE/Corporate groups as allocated by Head of Department or Director of Business Development (Events).
Coordinate and communicate with inter-departments including Front Office, Reservations, Banquet Operations, Kitchen, F&B and Finance to ensure smooth execution of MICE/Corporate events.
Prepare Proforma Invoice correctly, ensure collection of deposit, and follow up on full settlement of assigned events.
Arrange and conduct familiarization/site inspections of hotel facilities when required.
Establish and maintain good customer relationships.
Conduct market research and competitor surveys.
Improve client loyalty and enhance brand-to-client experience through excellent service delivery.
Provide sound event advice and solutions to event organizers and corporate clients based on experience.
Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage third-party vendors and/or venues.
Manage the registration process to create a streamlined experience for event organizers, corporate clients, and stakeholders, including compilation of group hotel bookings.
Check PMS systems to ensure group blocks for events and rooms are done correctly.
Provide feedback to the Head of Department & Director of Business Development (Events) on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition or new solutions to enhance revenue.
Upsell services to increase revenue from confirmed events.
Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
At least 3 years management experience with an international hotel chain, particularly in Sales & Marketing/Catering Dept.
Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Sales & Marketing.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
