Event Sales Manager
Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for all wedding, catering and group sales in the hotel, from booking events to their execution.
- Assist Director of Event to prepare departmental budget and forecasts, operating within set parameters, ensure effective cost control.
- Establish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, throughout and post-conference, exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat business.
- Conduct site inspections and sales activities as required.
- Work closely with the Director of Event to prepare monthly forecasts.
- Develop the annual business and marketing plan for the department.
- Achieve Wedding, Banquet and Catering budget set out in the yearly business plan for the hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Event.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum education of Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management or relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years sales experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a 5-star class environment.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel.
- Professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
