What You Would Get To Do

In this capacity, the ideal candidate would represent the FIRST brand as an embedded team member for a well-known technology company. The Technician will be responsible for executing the technical production for events requiring support with Audio/Video, staging, and lighting needs. As an embedded team member, you may be required to exhibit a flexible skill set to support systems outside of your expertise.

Your Overall Contributions

• Support event setup, rehearsal, and strike of Audio, Video, Camera, and Lighting equipment as needed.
• Provide advanced audio, video, lighting, or camera support during live events, broadcasts, and recordings.
• Operate event production equipment including Yamaha digital audio console, SONY PTZ camera controller, AV lighting console (Ion), Black Magic ATEM Mini Pro vision mixer.
• Provide full event production support including forwarding slide decks, video playback, live stream support, and multi-camera operation.
• Ability to work well with others in a high-pressure environment.
• Advanced understanding of audio and video signal flows.
• Basic editing of video footage to provide clients with recordings of their event.
• Provide white glove customer service to clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work early/late shifts and weekends based on schedules supplied.

Video Specific Contribution could include:

• Operate video production switchers at an advanced level.
• Manage video assets for use during live events, broadcasts, live streams, and recordings.

Audio Specific Contributions could include:

• Operate audio consoles at an advanced level.
• Support in micing up presenters/monitoring audio frequencies as needed.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for audio consoles.

Camera Specific Contributions could include:

• Operate PTZ cameras as needed.
• White balance for seamless high-quality images across all cameras.

Lighting Specific Contributions could include:

• Execute scene shifts and show cues safely and timely.
• Create lighting scenes and cues as needed.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting.

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years’ experience within the technical event production/broadcast environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Ability to work onsite.
• Full understanding of audio-visual technology.
• Proficiency with LED walls and WATCHOUT is preferred.
• Experience operating event production systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize while adhering to critical project timelines.
• Knowledge of PTZ cameras and controllers.
• Knowledge of livestream/broadcasting.
