Summary:
The candidate will work on simultaneous projects with the event management team focusing on the overall development, planning, production, operations, execution and delivery of meetings, incentive travel, conferences, exhibitions and special events (MICE). Experienced candidates may be considered for a Senior position.
Responsibilities:
- Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop successful and memorable events.
- Participate in external and internal project management activities and work-in-progress meetings fulfilling the day-to-day Hybrid, Live and Virtual event management needs.
- Develop and present proposals, including timelines, budgets and event deliverables.
- Conduct pre and post event evaluations and report on outcomes; take initiatives to implement improvement plans.
- Allocate tasks and manage the team ensuring that all timelines, budgets and deliverables are met.
- Facilitate creative direction including digital elements of an event.
- Prepare, present, manage, track, reconcile and report budgets.
- Source, review, recommend and manage venues and suppliers, including client nominated venues and third party suppliers.
- Reconcile and present partial and final billings to clients and from suppliers.
- Oversee the event data management process as well as data integrity, compliance and reporting.
- Ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
- Provide effective support and mentorship to the team members.
- Coordinate all aspects of the event management process.
- Ensure timely dissemination to all relevant stakeholders of project management documentation and administration.
- Perform other roles & responsibilities as requested based on business needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the planning, production, operations, execution and successful delivery of meetings, incentive travel, conferences, exhibitions and special events (MICE) Industry.
- Diploma or Degree in Event Management or its equivalent.
- Competency in managing clients and suppliers relationships, establishing and maintaining trust and loyalty.
- Ability to identify client needs, apply knowledge and experience to deliver innovative solutions.
- Strong problem solving skills with an ability to anticipate issues, quick in delivering solutions and skilled in managing issues.
- Strong attention to detail and able to work well under pressure.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, budgets and deliverables.
- Ability to inspire teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
- Proficiency in data management and compliance.
