The Role: Event Experience and Operations Manager

The Team: Reporting to the Global Manager of Event Experience and Operations, you will be joining a highly motivated, self-directed team, who are responsible for the flawless delivery of events. This will be across medium-large sized conferences in the range of 200-1000 delegates to awards ceremonies for up to 500 participants.

The Impact: We engage with customers, market participants, industry organizations and regulators every day. Each year we host numerous high-profile industry events to provide a platform for our customers to exchange ideas and make valuable connections.

What's in it for you:
Partnering with multiple stakeholders within the conferences team, the Event Experience and Operations role is instrumental in delivering these activities for the Commercial and Content teams to engage with our customers and the larger industry.

Responsibilities:
  1. Venue research and management: including procurement, quality evaluations and pricing negotiations. Providing cost comparisons to the stakeholders for each venue including venue limitations or enhancements.
  2. Venue contracting: On assigned events, you will be responsible for venue contract negotiation, working with the legal team to ensure all terms and conditions are met before contract signoff.
  3. Vendor management: Maintain and develop a database of vendor and suppliers across the globe, building new relationships and strengthening existing while negotiating for the best possible rates.
  4. Budget & Spend: Work within the event's budget, meet deadlines for spend tracking and reporting, Track, receive and submit all receipts, invoices and other payments related matters.
  5. Event Delivery: Responsible for handling the physical and virtual events operations for any of the events that you are assigned.
What We're Looking For:
An enthusiastic, project-oriented, and deadline-driven professional who can demonstrate:
  1. 5+ years relevant experience in an event planning or corporate events delivery role.
  2. Keen attention to detail and effective event management skills including the ability to manage competing deadlines with administrative organization and poise.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  4. Experience in event related platforms including Cvent & Slido.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and cross-collaborative skills at all levels.
  6. Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentations and report writing.
  7. Ability to travel to conferences when required.
