Job Description: ESG & Sustainability Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • This role reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer, Group for Durapower Singapore, act as the liaison between Durapower-Suzhou Manufacturing, EHSDirector, and internal teams on Scope 3 emissions (supply chain and product lifecycle). Lead discussions to ensure alignment on sustainability goals, communicate effectively across teams, and influence decision-making.
  • Use, analyse ESGPedia data to develop actionable initiatives on climate change, GHG emissions, and waste management. Translate complex data into clear insights and report to the Chief Sustainability Officer to inform strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements for Scope 1 (direct emissions from operations) and Scope 2 (indirect emissions from energy use), ensuring compliance with Singapore regulations and GRI standards, and identifying opportunities for emission reduction at Durapower-Suzhou.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Business Development to integrate carbon reduction strategies into global business initiatives, particularly in markets outside Singapore, and support the development of Battery Passport and ESG frameworks.
  • Stay informed on evolving sustainability trends, emissions standards (e.g.,TCFD), and regulatory changes. Ensure business strategies align with regulatory requirements and emerging best practices.
  • Contribute to strategies for mitigating Scope 1-3 emissions throughout the product lifecycle and supply chain, driving both environmental and commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure ESG compliance and drive sustainability initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Assist in pre-sales compliance activities and contribute to long-term ESG strategies that enhance revenue through sustainable practices, positioning Durapower as a leader in sustainable solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of ESG/sustainability consulting experience, with expertise in Scope 1-3 emissions, GRI, TCFD, GHG Protocol, and knowledge of Singapore’s regulations and global sustainability standards.
  • Strong data analysis skills in GHG emissions reporting and proficiency with tools like Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and clear communication of insights to senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with international frameworks (e.g., Battery Passport, ISO 14001) and green finance, with the ability to integrate ESG strategies into global and local business growth.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, acting as the key ESG partner for internal teams (Legal, Finance, Operations) and external stakeholders (regulators, consultants).
  • Project management experience in supply chain sustainability and ensuring compliance with global trade and sustainability requirements for international operation helping Durapower business expansion.
