Equipment and Process Engineer (Pharma, Commissioning, Design, UFDF)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. Support manufacturing systems support applications, automatic temperature reorder systems and calibration program coordination to meet the daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.
2. Evaluation of production calibrated equipment.
3. Production support and process validation.
4. Interface with vendors for incoming components and external calibrations.
5. Lead general engineering related projects.
6. Understand manufacturing concepts like Value Stream mapping, 5S and Visual Workplace to improve quality, labour efficiency, and throughput.
7. Protocol and report writing.
8. Generate and modify manufacturing process documentation.
9. Work with cross functional teams as required.
10. Develop and implement process improvements.
11. Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
12. Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
13. Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

1. Min Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Biomedical or related Engineering area or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing engineering experience required.
3. Candidates with biopharma industry experience with involved in UFDF (Ultrafiltration and defiltration) equipment design or equipment commissioning experience
4. Experience in pharmaceutical sector preferred.
5. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
6. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
7. Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
8. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
9. Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
10. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
11. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
