For one of our clients, a major EPC player, we are currently looking for a Project Director (EPC) with a strong background in Data Centres to be based in Singapore!
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of complex data centre projects, overseeing the full lifecycle from conceptualization and front-end engineering design (FEED) to commissioning and operational handover.
Provide strategic leadership in managing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) processes, ensuring seamless integration across all phases of project execution.
Oversee the development of project scopes, objectives, and execution plans, aligning them with client requirements, budgetary constraints, and schedules.
Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration among engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines to drive project success.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring effective communication, managing expectations, and addressing challenges proactively.
Drive risk assessment and mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards specific to data centre environments.
Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics, ensuring timely delivery within approved parameters.
Implement best practices and cutting-edge technologies for data centre construction, with a focus on modular construction, energy efficiency, and mission-critical infrastructure.
Lead contract negotiations, variations, and claims resolution while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring project alignment with contractual obligations.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in project leadership roles, specifically managing large-scale data centre or mission-critical facility construction projects.
Proven expertise in front-end engineering design (FEED) processes and end-to-end delivery of EPC projects.
Deep understanding of data centre requirements, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), IT infrastructure, power distribution, and cooling systems.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully guiding multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Solid knowledge of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
Familiarity with international safety and quality standards for mission-critical facilities, including Tier certifications and uptime requirements.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing technical, financial, and organizational priorities effectively.
