Job Description:
Ensure procedures are updated with the latest Codes of Practice and government legislation.
Assist in reviewing EHS management system and provide recommendations to EHS manager for improvement periodically.
Establish and supervise the execution of various monitoring programmes.
Provide monthly report to EHS Manager on EHS system operation and performance.
Ensure that work practices in projects are at all times in line with legal and 3rd party audit requirement, that is, WSH, ISO, GGB, ConSASS and Bizsafe.
Ensure the effective implementation of risk assessments, and follow up actions to maintain high safety standard and compliance to company ISO, OHSAS policies and legal requirement.
Recommend a safety time out (STO) to the PM for approval to allow a breather for the site to conduct a refresher in-house training and thorough inspection to break the trend.
Ensure a system is implemented to check on personnel competency and fitness of tools, equipment and machineries prior to work commencement.
Exercise control in enforcing compliances to legal requirement and in-house rules.
Update the latest development on legal requirement and make known the impact to EHS committee members and necessary changes to be made.
Involve in pre-project planning and advise on the measures to take in terms of traffic, security, visitors, public and neighbors’ engagement and management.
Conduct regular inspection to ensure that the measures are at all times in place and complaints related.
