Solution defining and delivery Help the business user to articulate their business requirements in a structured manner. Translate these business objectives into an architectural approach and solution, in terms of:
Business and process architecture
Technology architecture (application, infrastructure and security)
Define practical roadmap considering business, technical and delivery constraints. Identify operations impact of the solution and liaise with operations to define the appropriate operating model. Address all business challenges from a Technology & Operations perspective and ensure proposed solutions address issues with business, operations, technology, compliance, and any other impacted business units. Improve existing approaches and/or develop new approaches to achieving improvement. Spot potential problems, recognize the risk impact, and propose risk mitigation strategies. Lead the solution definition work-stream during implementation, to ensure the integrity of the business solutions is maintained. Manage technology roadmap once the various projects have started to monitor the deviation to the roadmap and architecture and plan the remediation accordingly with the various project teams.
Stakeholder relationship management Acts as a single point of contact for all domain-specific improvements and challenges. Supports effective business change by building relationships with and between development teams, business analysts, testing teams, and operational business partners. Provides well-informed advice, typically within a specific domain specialism, ensuring that it is properly understood and appropriately exploited, to enhance the effectiveness of significant activities. Anticipates customer needs; responds to and follows through on customer enquiries, requests, and issues to complete resolution or satisfaction in a timely manner.
Key Requirements
Banking Architecture skills across Retail and Wholesales business domains. It encompasses but is not limited to: core banking, payments, trades, cards, branches systems, ATM, Loyalty, internet and mobile banking, reporting and MIS.
Domain expertise with an excellent awareness of the various front-end and back-end systems and processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to C-level, with the ability to synthesize and simplify technology solutions and challenges.
Ability to communicate effectively with technology and operations staff.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/business/finance or equivalent.
Technical Skills
Heterogeneous technology platform knowledge such as AS400, Mainframe, open systems (Unix, Java, Microsoft), MQ.
