DESIGNATION: Enrolled Nurse - @Hougang
RESPONSIBILITIES
The job holder is responsible for supervising high nursing standard care rendered to the residents in the Residential Home/Hostel & Group Home/Children's Wing.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (80%)
- Teaching
- Participate in organizing and coordinating in-service education for junior nursing staff
- Participate in developing, designing, customizing, implementing and reviewing nursing standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Clinical Supervision
- Assist in providing continuous learning opportunities to junior staff
- Assist Staff Nurse in medication administration
- Assist Staff Nurse in providing close supervision of junior staff by:
- Guiding to meet appropriate nursing-related standards for basic nursing care, wound management, and handling emergency situations
- Assessing skills competency in junior staff
- Identifying skills and knowledge deficits in nursing care delivery
- Ensuring accurate and appropriate nursing documentation
- Counseling and assisting all junior staff where appropriate.
- Administration/Management
- Commit to best practices to assist in building esprit de corps and collegiality within the Residential Home.
- Contribute to improving the Residential Home's environment via collegial communication.
- Take a positive solutions-oriented approach for change management
- Maintain discipline of all staff effectively, responsible for their uniform code, punctuality, attendance, and adherence to the Residential Home code of conduct
- Promote perseverance, teamwork, and integrity
- Assist Staff Nurse in making/changing appointments for residents when applicable
- Assist Staff Nurse in assisting volunteer doctors when necessary.
- Assist Staff Nurse in attending to any medical problems/emergencies of residents
- Assist Staff Nurse in developing and maintaining procedures, protocols in the standard and documentation of medication administration, and maintenance and updated documents for MSF licensing
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (20%)
- General Profile
- Assist in setting up and maintenance of training material and resources.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and debriefs
- Take on additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by Head of Home
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Enrolled Nurse (SNB License) with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience for the Enrolled Nurse position
- At least a NITEC in nursing

- Technically skilled and competent

- Computer literacy skills in MS Word and PowerPoint
