Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement early childhood curriculum to meet the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of the young children.
• Provide activities, apparatus, and equipment to support the various curriculum areas planned for the children.
• Set up a conducive, effective, and healthy learning environment for the children.
• Provide a safe and clean learning environment for the care and development of the children in the centre.
• Shower, feed, change diapers, and toilet train the younger children.
• Monitor and ensure sick or recovering children take their medicine.
• Supervise and manage the children during both indoor and outdoor activities.
• Keep progress reports and comprehensive portfolios of each child and provide input on the child's development.
• Report suspected abuse cases to the Supervisor.
• Build good rapport with parents, including maintaining regular communication with parents via the Parents Communication Book.
• Build and maintain good rapport with colleagues and children.
• Ensure all information relating to children and their families is kept confidential.
• Ensure confidential information relating to the Centre is kept confidential.
• Ensure compliance with audit, accreditation, and licensure requirements.
• Assist the Centre in meeting all applicable statutory licensing regulations.
• Review and recommend improvements to work processes and procedures whenever necessary.
• Attend staff meetings and write minutes of meetings.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education / Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
• Registered with Early Childhood and Development Agency (ECDA) with an L1/L2 certification.
• Preferably with 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
