About the role

Uread Global Pte. Ltd., a leading media and publishing company, seeks an experienced English Editor to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is based in Singapore and will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high-quality standards of our diverse range of publications.

What you'll be doing

• Select and sign outstanding authors to promote high - quality content to be available on our own platforms
• Collaborate with authors and relevant experts, provide feedback, and enhance the quality of the content
• Adhere to the "customer first" principle and provide readers with the best content
• Review and edit content to ensure the accuracy of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and overall readability
• Assist in formulating editorial norms and be sensitive to industry trends and language changes
• Participate in team meetings and support the company's overall editorial strategy

What we're looking for

• Have a passion for reading and be good at identifying high - quality content
• Be an effective communicator and able to build good relationships with authors
• Have a strong sense of responsibility, pay attention to details, and possess excellent time management and project management skills
• Be proficient in using editing tools such as Microsoft Office
• Hold a bachelor's degree or above, with majors in English, Journalism, or related fields preferred
• Have experience in editing or proofreading, and those with experience in the publishing or media industry are preferred
• Having excellent Chinese reading and writing skills is an added advantage
