Engineering Manager(Water Treatment/Oil & Gas)

Our client company is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee engineering from basic design to detailed execution, manage project budgets, and collaborate with teams to deliver quality results on time and within budget.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead the basic and detailed engineering phases from tender to project handover.
2. Assess the need for training and talent development within the engineering team.
3. Manage third-party engineering vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
4. Provide technical and engineering support to upper management for decision-making.
5. Build and manage high-performing engineering teams.
6. Provide clear, structured instructions to engineering teams to ensure project success.
7. Lead research and development initiatives to create innovative designs, products, and processes.
8. Review and validate engineering designs and calculations for technical accuracy.
9. Coordinate with other managers and departments to ensure seamless project execution.
10. Foster knowledge-sharing and cross-functional collaboration within and across teams.
11. Act as a liaison between engineering, management, and other departments to align goals and priorities.
12. Communicate project updates, risks, and challenges effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
13. Advocate for engineering team needs and recognize achievements within the organization.
14. Assist in planning and managing budgets for engineering projects and resource allocation.
15. Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.

Job Requirements & Skills:

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the engineering industry.
3. Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or a similar role in Water and Wastewater Treatment; experience in Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas industries is preferred.
4. Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex information and develop innovative solutions.
5. Excellent communication skills to lead teams and collaborate with management and stakeholders.
6. Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and correct technical errors before they escalate.
7. Ability to conduct necessary process and engineering work while providing technical guidance.
8. Strong organizational skills to manage budgets, employees, and project schedules simultaneously.
9. Relevant training and/or certifications in Engineering Management.
