Engineering Manager - Chemical Machinery Design

Job Scope

• Oversee the design and development of chemical machinery, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and on time.
• Lead and motivate a team of talented engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship and support to foster their professional growth.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement and project management, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Analyse design requirements, develop innovative solutions and optimise processes to enhance the efficiency and performance of our chemical machinery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies and engineering best practices, and implement them to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory and quality standards throughout the design and development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development of new business proposals and participate in client presentations to showcase our engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in chemical machinery design and management, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering services industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects within defined timelines and budgets.
• Excellent technical skills and in-depth knowledge of chemical processes, materials, and design principles.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Familiarity with design software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools and project management methodologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
