Engineering Assistant, Industrial Engineering

Job Description:

Location: Ang Mo Kio

Working hours: 830am - 530pm (Monday to Friday)

Salary Range: Up to $3,500.00 + OT pay

Job Responsibilities:

• To provide Industrial Engineer support to manufacturing and New program launches
• Provide Work instructions
• Establish work standards (work-study techniques)
• Design new workstations and implement layout plan
• Provide routing and support capacity study, Line Balancing
• Participate in cost improvement program
• Administer CIP process and reports
• Design new work method (standard work) through the application of MTM2
• Verify and audit standard work and timings
• Study changeover and minimize changeover time to support small lot production
• Identify and eliminate waste through OSKKK process and application of lean tools (e.g., PFP, MSD etc.) to improve productivity
• Undertake special assignments
• Implement small lot production control system
• Develop address system, and visual controls and implement them on the shop floor
• Support Industrial Engineers in their job function
• Develop standard cell documentation and implement the same on the shop floor
• Establish Glass wall of lean metrics and improve the same
• Represent IE in a cross-functional team
• Participate in cost improvement study
• Implement productivity improvement projects
• Participate in lean equipment design, flexible cell design and conduct
• Lead Workplace organization gap assessment and improvement

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Diploma Holders in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Production Engineering / Chemical Processing Engineering preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• At least 3 years of practical experience
