Engineer (Shipwright)

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, managing and providing feedback on crucial matters from projects.

• Verify the docking plan and confirm that the block setting aligns with the provided drawing through accurate calculations.

• Verify the ballast condition and stability drafts and ensure that tanks are properly blasted and coated as required.

• Arrange surveyors and officers for testing of lifeboats, davits, derricks, cranes, etc.

• Ensure all jobs are performed according to owner requirements (e.g., renewal of lifeboats & crane wires).

• Discuss blasting standards and coating requirements with representatives.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Engineering, Mechanical, or related disciplines.

• At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in the marine/offshore related industry.

• Experience with surface preparation, painting, TSA, PFP, and related painting jobs.

• Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken).

• Good working knowledge in scaffolding, tank blasting & painting, and project execution.
